We have all opened our inbox to find a bunch of mass-emailed garbage, often from people we don't know and have no reason to communicate with, who obviously believe that their every word holds enough importance to be read by friends, colleagues, and strangers alike. If you're taking the time to maintain your email sanity, you know by now how annoying those messages can be.
The best advice in this situation is this: do unto other inboxes as you would have done unto yours.
Don't cc and bcc a large number of people on every message you send simply because your "reply to all" option is functioning properly. From a business standpoint, the fewer emails you have on a given subject will help you to manage the matter in the most efficient manner possible. You should take time to consider what people are essential to keep in the loop on the matter at hand, and also consider that for every cc or bcc added to your message, the number of needless messages you get in return are likely to grow exponentially.
