BlueChannel web servers are custom built and underutilized. Load averages are purposely kept below capacity to provide a near-dedicated server web hosting experience in a shared server environment.
For network reliability, we colocate our servers at the Layered Tech Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC is served by fully redundant, high-speed fiber optic connections and utilizes multiple Tier-1 Internet backbone providers. These connections include dark fiber, OC-48 Sonet, and multiple high speed connections to different providers.
The facility is fitted with waterless fire-suppression systems, UPS and backup generators, and environmental controls to ensure high quality, uninterrupted service. The NOC is continuously monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week by onsite staff. This, in conjunction with 24/7 BlueChannel monitoring and support for server level problems, ensures a smooth and powerful hosting experience.
