bandwidth matters
Big. Redundant. Fast.
IO Phoenix is a carrier-neutral facility meaning they don’t push one bandwidth provider that may or may not be ideal. Instead, our servers are connected to four upstream providers: CenturyLink, Abovenet, Level(3), and TeliaSonera International Carrier. If one carrier goes down, our customers stay online. For more redundancy, all four providers’ bandwidth is delivered from two divergent, physical paths through the IO facility via a dual-feed handoff to our rack. If one route goes down, our customers stay online. We also pay for bandwidth bursting, meaning your website will not be throttled and slow to a crawl if you get a sudden jump in traffic.
hardware matters

We use honest-to-goodness enterprise-class hardware, custom built to our specifications and installed in our rack with our own hands. Our webservers are intentionally underutilized to provide a near-dedicated server web hosting experience in a shared hosting environment. We also have the infrastructure to allow you to grow into a dedicated solution, if needed. All servers are monitored 24/7 for problems, all problems are clearly communicated on Twitter so you know about them, and all hands are on deck until service is restored. Our fanaticism about hardware and monitoring ensures a smooth and powerful hosting experience.
